The most common option for important, long-term staffing needs
A Contingency Search, our most common search option, is chosen when it makes sense for the client to pay when the new hire is on board rather than at the beginning of the search process.  It may be the best option when the client is trying to fill mid to upper level positions on a non-confidential basis.  Ideally, Contingency Searches are exclusive for a period of time.

Retained Search

The ultimate partnership and confidentiality
A retained search represents the ultimate partnership in identifying and attracting the most qualified candidates for a high level or very specialized position. Typically, it also makes sense when there is high need for confidentiality. This search model entails an upfront retainer fee for services provided with remaining payments made when key milestones are reached.

A dedicated, consultative relationship with the client
In a retained search, the dedicated search consultant is committed to the client throughout the search process and acts as a consultant in finding exactly the right person for the position.  This model is most effective for high level executive positions and/or hard to find talent where a specific and exceptional skill-set is required.

Urgent need for senior executive
A retained search is appropriate when the need is urgent, the hire will have a significant impact on company performance or new needs develop that must be addressed quickly.

“Engaged Search”

A unique combination
An engaged search is a variation of the retained search model and, in some ways, is a combination of the retained search and the contingent search.  A portion of the fee is paid upfront ensuring a commitment on the part of the recruiter with the remainder paid upon the talent accepting a position with the client.

Ideal for critical mid-level managers and urgent needs
This model is most effective for filling critical Mid-level manager positions or for smaller clients for whom a retained search is not cost effective.  It helps to ensure a dedicated effort to fill the position with the best talent in a timely manner.
